Green Beans

As common food in many countries, green beans are sold fresh, canned, and frozen. They can be eaten raw or steamed, boiled, stir-fried, or baked. They are commonly cooked in other dishes, such as soups, stews, and casseroles. Green beans can be pickled, similarly to cucumbers.

Green Peas

The pea is vegetable, a good relative of lentils, soybeans, chickpeas, beans, but also of peanuts. The ideal season to consume fresh peas is from May to October, but they are available at any time, because they can be preserved by freezing or in salt water, by pasteurization. Peas, like all vegetables, are an excellent source of vegetable protein and contain a large amount of fibre.
